Jon joined Deschutes in 2022 as a Retirement Plan Specialist and has since been nationally recognized as a Top Retirement Plan Advisor Under 40 by NAPA and an Emerging Leader by PlanAdviser.
His passion for financial services began in college when he took a Math for the Real-World course, which covered topics like loan amortization and investing principles. This eye-opening class reshaped his perspective on finances and set him on the path to a career in the industry.
Throughout his career, Jon has worked as a consultant to business owners for a global investment manager, conducting needs analysis and providing tailored recommendations as a licensed representative. Today he continues to guide organizations in building and optimizing their retirement plans, helping employers and employees achieve long-term financial success.
Outside of work, Jon spends his time with his wife and two daughters in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Jon and his family love to garden and currently have an herb garden with mint, lavender, and thyme. His weekends are usually spent running from soccer games to dance recitals, and he also enjoys traveling with his family in his downtime. Jon has a history of volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity and after high school he spent 3 weeks living in New Zealand with locals building homes for the underprivileged. Jon is a wonderful addition to the Deschutes Team as he brings fresh insight and dedication to educating and empowering our business clients and their employees.
