From his early interest in business and finance to his passion for helping people build better lives, Mac shares some of the perspectives and experiences that have shaped him personally and professionally.
His Story
How did you actually end up in this line of work?
I was looking for something I was genuinely interested in. I've always had an interest in money, business and sales came pretty naturally, but I learned business to business was best for me.
What part of your work do you genuinely enjoy most?
When I actually reach people by interacting directly and personally with them. Getting feedback and knowing that I’ve helped someone have a better chance in life is what makes this work meaningful.
What's something you've learned about money, investing or planning that changed the way you think about your own finances?
Most people pay very little attention to actually planning for their finances and future, and just think about day to day. Its important to have a goal. What do you want to be? How do you achieve it? Then seek help.
What's one thing you wish more people understood about their money?
Have enough where you can get by easily for a year or two. This takes the stress out of everyday life. Then reinvest to save.
What's a question you wish clients asked more often?
What is the simplest way to live without financial stress? And how do I get there?

What's something about you we would never learn from your résumé?
That I care deeply about my family & friends and give myself to others that I care about. I love nature & adventure.
When you're completely off the clock, where are we most likely to find you?
Hiking in backcountry, bicycling, motorcycle riding, horseback riding, windsurfing - basically anything with an “ing” behind it!

What are you looking forward to right now?
Getting some international travel in over the next couple of years.
